Alexandre Pires removes his manager’s name from Instagram after preventive arrest; understand

Matheus Possebon was arrested last Tuesday by federal police after launching investigations into money laundering from illegal mining activities on Yanomami indigenous lands

After the preventive detention of Matteo Possebon, Alessandro Pires has removed his name, which is his manager, from Instagram. Both are under investigation for laundering money from illegal mining on Yanomami indigenous lands in Roraima.

To the Estadao, Possebon’s defense lawyer, Fábio Tofic Simantob, confirmed that he was arrested preventively. In a note sent to the journalist, he specified that the arrest “is violent” and “was ordered due to a single financial transaction with a company with which Matheus has no commercial relationship”.

“Even more serious, the arrest took place without Matheus even being able to clarify the transaction. The defense, however, is certain that this violence will be promptly cancelled, and that Matheus will be able to freely demonstrate that he had nothing to do with this investigation “, reads the statement.

The report attempted to contact Pires, but did not receive a response at the time of publication. The singer’s lawyers sent a public note to the address Estadao denying the singer’s involvement with mining or mining. They still deny “any wrongdoing” (see full note below).

According to the investigation, Pires received at least R$1 million from a mining company under investigation. Possebon is suspected of financing mining on Yanomami indigenous land. He would be one of the “responsible for the financial core of the crimes”, underlines the PF. He found out more about the case.
