The gospel singer Regis Danese participated in the program Meeting with Patricia Poeta this Monday, 18. He provided the details of the car accident suffered on August 30, while returning from a show in the city of Ceres, in Goiás. Following the impact, the singer suffered injuries to his intestine, underwent two surgeries and had to stay in hospital for 19 days.

“I confess that I was worried when I saw the photos of the accident,” Patrícia Poeta revealed. Regis was with his brother, who suffered minor injuries. The singer’s health conditions were more serious. “It was very difficult. When I had the accident I was conscious. I felt a strong abdominal pain and I said ‘I’m going to die'”, she confesses.

“The door on my side of the car was torn open. I managed to get away. There was a moment when I started to lose consciousness. I said God, forgive my sins. If I die, save me. But if I live , don’t let me suffer,” he said.

The singer concluded with a positive message: “I have gone through a lot of suffering, but I want to tell people that everything in this life passes, both the good and the bad moments.”

Regis Danese, who became nationally known in 2004, for his success Give me a miracle, also paid tribute to his wife, Kelly Danese, during the program. Holding flowers, the singer said, “After everything I’ve been through, the love I feel for you has only grown,” he melted. Check it out below:
