“The Big Bang Theory” star Kate Micucci announced a little over a week ago that she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
“They caught it too early,” he said in a video he posted on his TikTok account on Dec. 9. “It’s really strange because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life.”
The actress, who played ‘Lucy’, one of Raj Kothrapalli’s partners in the hit series, shared that she had already undergone surgery to remove the tumor so she was ‘fine’.

Days after the important confession, Kate Micucci reappeared on the aforementioned digital platform to make an announcement about her health.
After acknowledging the expressions of affection she received, she said to the camera: “I have great news, and that is that I am cancer free!”
“Last week’s operation was excellent,” he explained on December 18. “All the (medical) reports showed that it worked, I don’t need to do any more treatment.”
Visibly moved, the interpreter expressed her gratitude to the doctors who quickly discovered her illness. “I’m very very lucky and I know it,” she said.
“I’m really grateful that things have turned out the way they have. Today I feel really good and, honestly, I’m very excited and very grateful,” she commented.
Micucci, 43, closed the recording by expressing his excitement to be able to enjoy the holidays with his son.
“I’m excited to spend Christmas with my little one,” she said before continuing to show the 3-year-old giving her a kiss.

Kate Micucci spoke about her fear
After her excellent recovery, the artist, who has also appeared in productions such as ‘Mom’, ‘Will & Grace’ and ‘Garfunkel and Oates’, admitted that she experienced anxiety before going into surgery.
“2 weeks ago, the day before I had surgery for lung cancer, I was a little scared into silence,” she said in a Dec. 19 Instagram post.
“So, to distract myself, I called my friends and we made this video for Christmas. “It’s for the sped-up version of ‘You Got A Bike’ and I think it came out pretty happy,” he added.
In the recording, which accompanied this message, he is seen removing the wrapping paper from a bicycle and, later, riding it.
