The singer, who passed away in May due to cancer, will receive a tribute with fireworks and an orchestrated version of the opera Black sheeppresent in the album Forbidden fruit, and one of his greatest hits. Interestingly, the singer was born on New Year’s Eve. In Copacabana, where there will be two stages, the shows will begin at 5.30pm. On the other stages the scheduled start of the shows is at 6.00 pm.

When 2024 arrives, at midnight, the sky of Copacabana will offer a spectacle of colors and 3D figures, according to the city hall. The fireworks will last 12 minutes, with “more modern and technological bombs”. Director Ludhymila Bruzzi will direct the soundtrack.

In total, according to the city hall, there will be ten ferries, with a distance of 25 meters between them. The trigger system is connected via GPS, which monitors and activates each of them. The drones will put on a special show, with “images and messages of peace and hope”.
