Astro starred in and directed a film that was the subject of an embarrassing moment at the Golden Globes
Last weekend, heartthrob Bradley Cooper made headlines after appearing with a real yellow smile at the Golden Globes. This is because the North American, who was competing for the award for best actor in a drama film, with “Maestro”, ended up losing the statuette. The winner was Cilliam Murphy, protagonist of the film “Oppenheimer”.

But, ultimately, what is the film about? “Maestro” is based on the true story of the relationship between conductor Leonard Bernstein and actress Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein. According to Netflix itself, “the film is a tribute to life and art, a moving portrait of family and love”.
At the Golden Globes, the film, also directed by Bradley Cooper, competed for four awards: Best Director (Bradley Cooper), Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (Bradley Cooper), Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama (Carey Mulligan) and Best Film dramatic. Unfortunately the “Master” did not take home any statuettes.
In Brazil the film is available on the Netflix platform and is a good option for those who are already thinking about the Oscar movie marathon. Although the official list of awards has not yet been published, critics believe that the feature film could appear in several categories.
