Would he have courage? David Beckham eats a strange-looking delicacy that costs more than R$2,000 per kilo

The former England player posted a photo while tasting a very rare crustacean. He said this is one of his favorite dishes

The former footballer David Beckham shared with his followers the experience of eating a very rare crustacean in a Spanish restaurant. This delicacy, about 5cm long, is known as a barnacle, a mollusk that lives in exposed rocks and rough, cold waters.

“One of my favorite things to eat when spending time in Spain. It’s so good,” the former England athlete wrote.

According to the newspaper daily email, a portion of fifteen barnacles, sold in upscale restaurants, can cost around 80 euros, around R$430. A kilo of this delicacy can sell for up to 400 euros, around R$2,100, per kilo.

Despite its strange appearance, barnacles are rich in B vitamins, magnesium, iron, zinc and selenium. Another advantage: it is low in calories. It has less than 100kcal/100g and is essentially composed of water and proteins.
