Princess Charlene left Monaco for the first time since her illness and kissed Albert II in public

Since the 44-year-old Charlene returned to Monaco in March of this year, the press has been tirelessly discussing the health of the princess. Before she had time to recover from the complications of a severe ear infection and take part in several public events at once, she was diagnosed with coronavirus in early June. However, then the palace said that the condition of the princess did not cause concern, even though she was in forced isolation. Therefore, Charlene is back in the ranks and, it seems, will continue to delight the inhabitants of Monaco with frequent public appearances.

So, a week earlier, she and her husband, 64-year-old Albert II, attended the opening of the TV festival in Monte Carlo. And today it became known that the princess with her family – Prince Albert and 7-year-old twins Gabriella and Jacques – for the first time left Monaco on a visit to Norway.

The royal family visited the exhibition at the Fram Museum in Oslo. The monarchs looked cheerful and happy – the photographers even managed to capture the passionate kiss of Charlene and Albert, which once again dispelled the myth that the couple was at odds, and the princess would continue to live with her husband exclusively under a contract. For the exit, Charlene chose a black trouser suit with a shiny piping, a shirt and black pumps to match, as well as minimalist silver jewelry. The princely couple dressed up the children in accordance with the images of their mother and father – Gabriella tried on a shiny black dress with a bright red coat, and Jacques almost completely repeated Albert’s outfit, with the exception of beige trousers.

Recall that the princess left the country in February 2021. When her mission in South Africa was completed, Her Ladyship was unable to return home. As Charlene later said, all because of the consequences after suffering an ear infection. Doctors for a long time forbade her long flights because of the pressure in her ears. Since then, Charlene has missed several important events, including the 10th wedding anniversary with the prince, as well as the opening of the Olympics in Japan. However, her husband and children visited the princess twice in South Africa.

In November 2021, Charlene finally returned to Monaco, but a few days later she left the principality again. When asked by journalists, Albert II explained that his wife was “in a secret place” where she would “rest” and recover “from fatigue, including physical fatigue.”

According to a number of European media reports, which have not been refuted by officials, Princess Charlene received treatment at the Paracelsus Recovery, a closed institution located on the lake in Zurich. They provide anonymous and confidential treatment for drug, alcohol and other addictions caused by, for example, medications, eating disorders, and mental disorders.
