Nathália Santos revealed on social media that she will undergo physiotherapy at home to recover from the injuries caused by the accident

The journalist hit during Carnival, Natalia Santos, has just been discharged. The information was revealed on the former journalist’s Instagram profile Rede Globowho published a video thanking his followers for their affection, this Tuesday 20th.

Nathalia was killed in a robbery attempt after leaving the Marquis of Sapucaíin Rio de Janeiro, in the early hours of Carnival Monday, 12.

“Hi guys. I’m just here to tell you that I’m here to thank you […] Thank you for all the messages, all the prayers and everyone who donated blood,” he began.

Subsequently Nathalia explained that she will return home to continue her physiotherapy treatment. “I’m going home to recover better. It’s been a week full of ups and downs, a very difficult week, but now it’s time to focus on recovery and rehabilitation.”

Accident

The accident occurred while she was leaving the sambadrome in the city of Rio de Janeiro with her husband, when the taxi she was in was hit by two shots, one of which hit the journalist in the hip.

“I’m very grateful to be alive, it was a shock. I didn’t expect what happened. We didn’t notice the announcement of the robbery. Out of nowhere, I heard two bullets, I said: ‘It’s a shot,'” he said in an interview with the program Encounterfrom Rede Globo.



Nathalia also had a blood transfusion and said she still can’t move her feet, but that everything is “as expected.” “I’m very happy to be alive,” she added.
