The actor and musician Lucio Mauro Filho, also known as Lucinho, mourned the death of his mother, whom he called Dona Lú, in a text published on his social networks. Without revealing the cause of death, Lucinho says she “took a well-deserved rest” on February 16, at the end of Carnival week.
Due to his closeness to the celebrations, Lucinho made an analogy between his mother’s life and some rituals of the day.
“Dona Lú’s passage through this project was a true carnival! A giant heart like a court, one that could host an entire community. This community made her farewell a great celebration of affection and welcome, which did not we will never forget. Dona Lú She was a champion!” she wrote.
The actor said his mother was a welcoming and protective person, not only of her children – some not hers – and her grandson, but also of her children’s friends, especially “the crazier ones”.
Lucinho emphasizes that the death of his father, actor Lucio Mauro, in 2019 was a hard blow for his mother.
“It hurt greatly to witness the apotheosis of his great love. Carnivals were losing their charm,” he wrote.
The actor also said that it was Dona Lú who encouraged him in his career. “She taught me to be human. To sing, to play the guitar, she put me at the Tablado Theater to learn my profession. There are so many things that I can only say that I owe everything I am to her.”
Lucinho concluded the message by saying that he will follow his mother’s example in his family and everyone will feel her light. “Always!”, he wrote.
