Simone Mendes sold a villa to a gang of Russian and Brazilian thieves
Recently, Simone Mendes sold one of her villas in Fortaleza (CE), valued at R$10 million. However, the singer did not know that the buyers were part of a gang investigated by the federal police. For this reason, the artist’s team has spoken.
In the property, which was already in the hands of buyers, the PF seized US$220,000, R$55,000, luxury watches and mobile phones. According to the MetrĂ³poles portal, the gang laundered criminal money from abroad in Brazil, using cryptocurrencies.
In a note, Simone Mendes’ team specifies that the singer and her husband have not met the buyers. “The sale of the artist’s property, in Fortaleza, took place regularly and in compliance with Brazilian legislation. The sale operation was mediated by a local real estate agency, without the artist and her husband ever having had any contact personal and/or directly with buyers.”
