Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers, Katie Ledeck, Sunny Lee among the nominees –

NFL stars Tom Brady and Aaron Rogers, NBA stars Stephen Curry, Olympic swimmer Katie Ledek and Olympic gymnast Sunny Lee are among the nominees for the 2022 ESPY Awards.

Rodgers Green Bay Packers and NBA Golden State Warriors champion Curry will battle it out for Best Male Athlete on July 20 at a ceremony with Major League Baseball Los Angeles Angels’ Shohei Ohtan and NHL Edmon’s Conor McDavid. Rogers also earned the NFL Player of the Year nomination.

Brady was not nominated in either category; Its only nominations were for Best Recording Performance, which also nominated Door, track star Allison Felix and college softball player Jocelyn Alo.

In the women’s sports category, Ledek and Lee are named Top Athletes, along with WNBA Chicago Sky’s Kendi Parker and Paralympic Oksana Masters (skiing, road cycling, biathlon). Felix, Ledek, Lee and Masters were also named Best Olympians, while Masters also won the Best Female Athlete with Disabilities nomination.

Kari, who hosts the ESPY Awards, is also nominated for Best NBA Player, and her team was nominated for Best Team along with Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams, among others. Parker was also nominated for WNBA Player of the Year.

The show will air live on July 20 at 5pm PT to 5pm PT on Los Angeles ABC. Fans can vote on ESPN.com/ESPYS until July 17th.

The show will also be honored with special awards, including the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, given to Vitali Klitschko, a former professional boxer who serves as the mayor of Kyiv; Jimmy V Perseverance Award, presented to basketball announcer Dick Vitali; And the Pat Tillman Service Award, which will be presented to retired Army Commander Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans.
