The actress Samara Philip45 years old, accused her ex-husband, Leandro Barbosa, 41 years old, of property violence and the financial blow of the last few days. The case has been in court for at least 9 years and, according to the trial, that the Earth accessed, the basketball player owes around R$11.7 million to his ex.
In videos posted online, Samara explained that while she was married she sold one of her properties, an apartment, to help purchase a house with her ex-husband. However, the property was purchased before the marriage. That said, when they divorced in 2013, it was agreed that the athlete should compensate the actress in some way. At the time, according to the documents, the Court had established a debt of R$3.4 million.
Over the years, the debt has increased because the judge ordered the monetary adjustment and 1% monthly interest to be added to the amount for late payments. Currently the debt already exceeds the amount of R$ 11.7 million.
The deed specifies that, within the couple’s real estate assets, one of them was intended Leandrinho it should be sold for R$5 million so that the athlete can have the sum of R$3.4 million to pay what is owed Samara. The condition was also that the actress would vacate the above-mentioned property 30 days after concluding the deal, otherwise any depredations would come out of her pocket and, of course, she would have to start paying rent to her ex-husband, given that he remained as the owner of the company.
In August 2016 Samara requested the execution of the sentence according to which Leandrinho had not made the payments, also accusing him of having sold one of the properties in the middle of the trial, before the sharing and two others after. The player’s defense argued that the financial situation became delicate after his contract with the club expired NBA and that the property to be sold had been devalued, i.e. it would not cover the amount owed to Samara.
More recently, following the actress’ allegations of financial abuse and fraud, the former basketball player released a statement that his ex-wife’s allegations “do not correspond to reality.” “During these years of trial, Ms. Samara forgot to mention in her post that she had received two properties that I owned in the city of São Paulo, properties that approach and even exceed the value of the apartment she owned and which she sold to era, that is, the claim that he never received any compensation is unfounded.”
