Belinda resurfaced on social media after it was announced that she had undergone emergency surgery for a found tumor and sent an unexpected message.

Through her official account on Instagram, the singer published a short message, in which she avoided talking about the state of her health and limited herself to showing her excitement about the news.

“Wow, I can’t believe I have a song with Enrique Iglesias,” said Belinda, who showed how excited she is about her duet with the Spaniard on the song “Llórame un Río.”

Although there is much talk about her health, it is the only appearance on social networks that Belinda has made.

Why did Belinda have surgery?

Belinda began to experience health problems at the beginning of last March, as a result of which her participation in the Bésame Mucho 2024 festival was cancelled.

Days later, the singer postponed another presentation, but this time in Veracruz, sparking rumors that she did not reveal what was causing her professional failure.

Belinda has kept quiet about her illness, but all has been revealed now that her parents have revealed she underwent surgery for a tumour.

Although they did not confess which part of the body was operated on, Belinda Schüll and Ignacio Peregrín reported that everything went well and that the singer is recovering.

“The truth is that it was a difficult time for health. Belli continues to recover slowly because it was a health issue. My daughter cannot travel, she is here in Mexico recovering,” they told “Ventaneando” on March 28.

Belinda’s father simply stated that “it was an emergency” and that now that the operation was done, everything was resolved and “it was not causing any more problems”.

For her part, Belinda Schüll did talk about the removed tumor, detailing that it was analyzed and that a possible cancer was ruled out.
