After bubble gum row, JLo and Emme enjoy spring break in New York

Recently, Jennifer Lopez was in the middle of a controversy because of a video in which he spits a piece of gum into the hand of his supposed assistant. This gesture caused outrage among users and some considered it “rude”.

Amidst the controversy, the pop star reappeared on social media with her daughter Emme and niece Lucy on what appeared to be a girls’ night out.

Jennifer shared a photo of the three of them enjoying an ice cream: “Spring break,” is the short message accompanying the post.

Who is JLo’s niece?

Lucie Wren Lopez-Goldfried is the daughter of Jennifer’s younger sister Lynda and Adam Goldfried.

Thanks to her mother’s social networks, it is known that the 15-year-old teenager has a good relationship with her cousin Emme.

The JLo chewing gum controversy

A video recently went viral in which the singer is seen spitting gum into an assistant’s hand. This was seen by many as a “lack of appreciation and respect”.

However, a user named Tnassiri claimed that she was the woman who received the gum from the actress and told her version to stop speculating. He noted that the incident happened in 2017 during the filming of the movie “Second Act” in New York’s Flatiron District.

“In principle yes, I have a handkerchief in my hand. “I worked with Jen for several years as her assistant on the set (…) Jen often chews gum before sets out of respect for her co-stars, so I always had paper towels and tissues to help her dispose of them.”

Before shooting one of the scenes, the assistant would have approached so as not to delay the shoot.

“I came in quickly and I held out my hand (with a paper towel) for him to throw away easily. (…) I couldn’t just walk into a trash can (we were surrounded by a crowd), so to keep things moving, ‘spitting’ the gum on the paper towel in my hand was the best option”, he said.
