Joca, a Golden Retriever dog, left Guarulhos International Airport (SP) and was supposed to be sent to Sinop (MT). However, due to an operational failure, the animal was put on a flight to Fortaleza (CE) and when the owner, João Fantazzini, managed to find the dog, he had already died inside the company’s kennel.

Following controversy, Gol suspended for 30 days the sale of the dog and cat transport service provided by GOLLOG Animals, and of the Dog&Cat + Espaço product, for journeys made in the hold of the plane. According to the airline, the decision was made so that the company can fully dedicate itself to completing the investigation process into what happened.
