Justin Timberlake faces new trial. The lawsuit against the singer was filed by director John Urbano. The man claims that in 2012, Timberlake hired him back in 2012 to film and edit a documentary about the making of his third studio album, The 20/20 Experience. And for work, instead of the usual fee, he offered a percentage of income from impressions.

For 60 days, Urbano assures, he traveled around the world with Justin, filming him on camera. And then another 2,500 hours spent editing the footage. When the film was ready, Justin, according to the director, was delighted. But the video never made it to the screens. In the wake of the success of The 20/20 Experience, which became Timberlake’s most successful solo project and best-selling album of the year, the singer quickly lost interest in the film. And Urbano was left with a modest $20,000 fee that Timberlake paid him as an advance, instead of the $2,450,000 the director would have received had he been paid as usual. After all, while the film is gathering dust on the shelf, John cannot get a single cent for the rental.

This state of affairs of Urbano, who has been counting on Timberlake’s integrity for 10 years, of course, does not suit him. The director now wants to receive the lost millions from the artist in court, and also asks the judges to recognize the rights to the film for him. Representatives of Justin have so far refrained from commenting.
