Tom Cruise has stopped paying Suri’s million dollar pension, who turned 18 in April. The girl is the result of the actor’s relationship with Katie Holmes.

According to The sun, Once Suri reaches the age of majority, she no longer receives her annual pension of US$400,000 (R$2 million). There are reports that Tom maintains no emotional ties to his daughter and that they have not had any contact for 12 years.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes married in 2006, but announced their divorce five years later. Kate was granted full custody of the girl. One of the reasons for the end of the union would be the importance of Scientology (a religious sect practiced by Cruise) in the couple’s life. One of Kate’s goals would be to keep Suri as far away from the cult as possible.
