A new chapter marks the feud between the son and the alleged widow In Gal Costadied on November 9, 2022, aged 77. The singer hired a company to carry out work worth R$76,000 and divided the debt into two installments. The first was paid by Gabriel Costa’s mother, but the second expired in the month of the artist’s death.

According to the newspaper “O Estado de S.Paulo”, this Friday (31), to date, a year and a half after Gal’s death, no one has paid the second instalment. As a result, the debt reaches almost R$39,500 thousand – the initial value of the service would be R$76 thousand. Gabriel confirmed to the newspaper the failure to pay the second instalment.

With the debt the company took legal action in June 2023 after failing in attempts to receive the money owed. The group even searched for Wilma Petrillo, Gal’s alleged widow and executor, in the place where the singer lived, but without success. So she started quoting Gabriel.

The boy’s lawyer, Luci Vieira Nunes, said it was up to Wilma, as executor, to “defend the estate in all legal claims.” Therefore, Gabriel’s defense also sued the court to remove Wilma from her position as an inventory clerk, arguing that he had not performed her role properly and effectively.

It is worth mentioning that Gabriel has already raised doubts about his mother’s death at the age of 77: the death certificate indicated “heart attack” as the cause of death.
