Grettell Valdez reveals she remains cancer-free two years after having part of her finger amputated

Grettell Valdez went through a difficult time when, in 2017, she was diagnosed with cancer in her left thumb.

Subsequently, he managed to eliminate the disease thanks to the removal of the wart with the tumor and the placement of an implant.

However, after five years, the condition threatened to return as the actress developed a virus in the same area that could transform.

With a new surgery, in which part of her fingerprint and part of her nail were removed, as well as laser treatment and chemotherapy, she once again prevented the spread of the condition.

Is Grettell Valdez Still Cancer Free?

Just over two years since that life-threatening episode, Grettell Valdez has shared that her body remains cancer-free.

“(I’m very well. In fact yesterday I went to my doctor to check me. Every six months I have to check my finger and everything is perfect,” he told “De Primera Mano” on May 30.

The villain of soap operas such as What Life Stole From Me, which you can see here on ViX, explained that she follows medical instructions to the letter, which is why she does not miss her exams.

Recently, she caused an uproar among the public by appearing on Instagram in bad shape and with an IV drip.

The model stressed that her condition was due to a salmonella infection, so it had nothing to do with what she went through in the past.

About this, she said in her recent interview: “There are viruses everywhere and also I think that, suddenly, when you work so hard for 6 months, your body relaxes and everything comes out.”

“I was scared because I had to record, I mean, they stopped me two days later with so much medication, I arrived like, ‘okay,'” she admitted.

Why did Gretel Valdez develop cancer?

When discussing this threat to her physical and emotional well-being with Karla Díaz on her “Pinky Promise” show in December 2022, Grettell Valdez laid out where the cancer came from.

The specialist assured him: “What you have, you got in the manicure.” “Because I had a call and it was easy for me to say ‘ah, I’m coming’ with anybody.”

For this reason, she now recommends that people who come to get their nails done bring their own ‘kit’ for the procedure and thus avoid the risks.
