Singer Nahim, a hit of the 80s, died this Thursday, 13th, at the age of 71. The artist’s body was found in his house, in Taboão da Serra, in Greater São Paulo, after the warning from a fiber optic technical operator who was in the region. The information was confirmed by the Military Police (PM) when Earth.

The report noted that police were called to respond to the incident at 3.12am this Thursday. The fiber optic technician called the company after seeing, through the window, Nahim lying with his body bloodied.
Teams of the military police, firefighters and the mobile emergency service (Samu) intervened on site in the Jardim Bom Tempo neighborhood and confirmed the death. Nahim’s body was found stiff and bruised. He was alone inside the house and the suspicion is that he fell from the stairs of the house.
This was reported by the Secretariat of Public Security Earth that the Civil Police is investigating the musician’s death. The body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine and the case was registered as a suspicious death at the 1st DP of Taboão da Serra.
The ex-wife mourns the death
Nahim’s ex-wife, businesswoman Andreia de Andrade, also lamented the musician’s death and said she was “shocked” by the news. They separated late last year after five years of marriage. In total, the couple has been together for 13 years.
“It is with great regret that I am here to inform you that I confirm the fact of Nahim’s passing. I am very shocked, I am unable to respond to messages and calls,” he said via Instagram’s Stories feature.
Nahim’s career, success in the 80s
Nahim Jorge Elias Júnior was born in 1952, in the city of Miguelópolis, inland from São Paulo. He started playing at the age of 10, with the musical group New Edition.
The singer gained popularity in the 1980s, when he participated in talk shows and won the award What is the song?from the Silvio Santos Program, on SBT.
Some of his hit songs are Shut up, Donate Heart, Melon Heart, Open Eyes and Taka Taka. In total, she has released more than 14 albums and 86 songs.
During his career, Nahim has also participated in several reality shows such as Opposites attracton SBT, in 2010, Aprendiz Celebridades, in 2014, and The farm: new possibilitiesfrom RecordTV, in 2017.
In 2020, he ran for São Paulo city councilor, but withdrew from the campaign six days before the elections.
