Justin Timberlake was arrested this Tuesday morning (18th), in New York. According to information from the American tabloid TMZ, the singer was caught driving drunk. The arrest was confirmed by the city’s police headquarters, which avoided revealing the reason.

Justin attended a party at a hotel. As soon as he got behind the wheel, the singer hit the “Stop” sign. The police officers noticed the strange movement and started following it. The interpreter tried to avoid him, but was stopped by the officers.

According to TMZ police sources, Justin had “glassy eyes” and his breath smelled of alcohol. He allegedly failed the field sobriety test because he was unable to stand on one leg. However, the artist refused to take a breathalyzer test. Friends tried in vain to intervene, but the celebrity was handcuffed and arrested..

Hours later, Justin was released without bail and his trial is scheduled for July 26.
