The Princess of Monaco continues to appear, including abroad. But now she has already grown strong enough to communicate with her subjects on her own. So, Charlene visited the maternity ward of the Princess Grace Hospital Center (CHPG) in Monaco. During the visit, organized by the Monaco Red Cross organization, the princess congratulated the young mothers, received information about the situation of mothers and problems requiring urgent solutions in the maternity ward.
This is her first solo performance since she returned to Monaco after a long illness and almost a year away from her homeland. For a visit to the medical facility, the 44-year-old princess chose a black midi dress with white stripes on the sides, which she combined with black strappy sandals. For the safety of her and the patients, Charlene did not take off her white medical mask.

Recall that the princess left the country in February 2021. When her mission in South Africa was completed, Her Ladyship was unable to return home. As Charlene later said, all because of the consequences after suffering an ear infection. Doctors for a long time forbade her long flights because of the pressure in her ears. Since then, Charlene has missed several important events, including the 10th wedding anniversary with the prince, as well as the opening of the Olympics in Japan. However, her husband and children visited the princess twice in South Africa.
In November 2021, Charlene finally returned to Monaco, but a few days later she left the principality again. When asked by journalists, Albert II explained that his wife was “in a secret place” where she would “rest” and recover “from fatigue, including physical fatigue.”
According to a number of European media reports, which have not been refuted by officials, Princess Charlene received treatment at the Paracelsus Recovery, a closed institution located on the lake in Zurich. They provide anonymous and confidential treatment for drug, alcohol and other addictions caused by, for example, medications, eating disorders, and mental disorders.
