Clerks III Trailer: Kevin Smith and company are back at the quick stop

In 1993, when Kevin Smith directed the original employeesYou couldn’t imagine he would still be making movies (and TV shows and podcasts) nearly 30 years later. And after hearing one of his self-deprecating jokes about him, some people wish he wasn’t. We are certainly happy to see him perform again in View Askewniverse and the first trailer for Employees III should slap a smile on any Smith fan’s face.

Go maybe more goal than even Jay and Silent Bob rebootthis third employees he finds us at the Quick Stop, where Dante (Brian O’Halloran) and Randal (Jeff Anderson) are always behind the counter and always complaining about the time spent working there.

However, when Randal suffers a heart attack, he decides to reevaluate his life and make a film about his experiences and the mix of madmen, monsters, drug dealers and loafers who pass by regularly.

Mixing his own fear of the impending heart attack with the film that launched his career, Smith here references (and teases) a bunch of employees Science. Of course, he’s back on screen with Jason Mewes as half of the boring veteran duo Jay and Silent Bob, and there’s also a profound nod to the original knocked out ending that saw Dante shot down during a late evening flight.

Employees III is slated for a two-night US release schedule via Fathom Eventsbut there is still no official word on a date in the UK.
