In mid-May, the media reported that Irina Viner and Alisher Usmanov decided to divorce after 30 years of married life. Moreover, the 68-year-old businessman became the initiator. And this afternoon, the 73-year-old coach of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team confirmed the fact of the divorce in an interview with Match TV:
We got divorced at the registry office,” she said.
Divorce in the registry office means that both spouses agree with the procedure, do not have unsettled property claims against each other, and they do not have minor children. Earlier, Usmanov withdrew the application for divorce from the court – just because of the lack of need for the division of property. Telegram channels, according to unconfirmed reports, add that the businessman agreed with all the wishes of the ex-wife regarding real estate and other jointly acquired property.

Alisher Usmanov and Irina Viner met in their youth at the Sports Palace in Tashkent: he went to fencing training, and she did rhythmic gymnastics. But they got married only in 1992, and before the wedding they met for 15 years. Irina has a son Anton from her first marriage, now he is 49 years old. The spouses do not have common children.
Usmanov is ranked seventh in the ranking of the richest people in Russia with a fortune of $ 11.5 billion. He is the president of the International Fencing Federation and a businessman, among his assets are Metalloinvest, Udokan copper, Megafon, JV AliExpress Russia and Ackermann Cement.
Irina Viner is a rhythmic gymnastics coach who raised many Olympic champions, including Alina Kabaeva, Margarita Mamun, Evgenia Kanaeva, the Averin sisters, and the head of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
