Claudia Raia Announces End of Contract with Globo After 40 Years, But Says: ‘See You Later’

The actress has left the door open for a future return to the web

Claudia Raya announced this Monday 1, through a video published on social media, the termination of his contract with TV Globoafter 40 years. The actress, however, he did not close the doors to future work at the station.

“How many stories can you live in 40 years? MANY! Thank you, TV Globo, for being part of my life, there have been so many lessons learned, dreams come true, friends and children that I have gained from television fiction! I have only reasons to celebrate, the personal and professional successes have been many. I will be back soon, this is not goodbye! See you later,” wrote the 57-year-old artist.

Raia’s story with Globo, however, does not seem to have come to an end yet. The actress has underlined the change as an adaptation to the market and he reiterated that he will return to the broadcaster’s screens in the future.

“This year we decided to open our relationship. To live other stories, but to know that I have a home in TV Globo. The world has changed. The market has changed. And I understand it, as a person who loves change and new things. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. Soon I will return to the screens of TV Globo, to tell new stories, create new memes and catchphrases. To continue being part of the history of Brazilian television,” he said.

For the announcement, Raia used a video that recalls his characters and moments of his life off the small screen throughout his career within the network. He debuted on Globo in 1984, participating in the program Viva o Gordo.

During the 40 years spent at home, the actress took part in productions such as Roque Santeiro, Sassaricando, Pirate TV, Rainha da Sucata, Terra Nostra, The Vampire’s Beak, A Favorita, Salve Jorge, Verão 90 and many other works.
