Singer Dua Lipa was backstage at the Glastonbury Festival, which ran from June 26 to 30, when musician Liam C approached her and asked her to sing one of his original songs. Dua agreed, but her reactions during Liam’s performance indicated some discomfort, until the singer thanked her and left.
Dua Lipa’s behavior went viral, generating several comments on the Internet: “She couldn’t wait to leave,” wrote one Instagram user.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) another user jokes about the reaction “before” Liam started singing, with Dua Lipa smiling. And the “after” with the singer would be there.
It all started with Liam C approaching Dua Lipa, saying: “I wanted to play you 30 seconds of my song and if you like it, I just want to know your reaction and that’s it.” In the caption of the video posted on his profile, the musician thanks the singer for listening to him.
But this didn’t just happen to Dua Lipa, the musician is known for her videos where she plays the ukulele and sings for famous people and musicians. At the same festival she also sang for rapper Stormzy.
In another post, Liam is grateful for the fruits of the festival and admits to being kicked out with a video. “Glastonbury Festival was crazy, I managed to get in to promote myself. There was no other way to pursue my dreams than to go undercover and do it the hard way. I played for Dua Lipa, before I got fired and everything I could. All I can say is Glastonbury is an amazing place, an amazing team, all that’s missing is Liam C in the lineup, please let me play next year,” he wrote.
