Globo Would Have Problems Choosing Maria de Fátima for a New Remake
Globo remains focused on casting the cast for the remake of one of the network’s most popular soap operas, “Vale Tudo.” However, it seems that the group is having trouble finding the perfect Maria de Fátima, previously played by Gloria Pires.
Apparently, six actresses have already auditioned to play the big bad in the remake. However, none of them seem to have satisfied the team enough. According to Carla Bittencourt, of Notícias da TV, among the names that have passed through the corridors of Globo in search of a test for “Vale Tudo” are Giullia Buscacio, Theresa Fonseca, Bella Campos, Julia Dalavia, Valentina Herszage and Letícia Vieira.
All the rehearsals were held next to Taís Araújo, presumably chosen as the protagonist Raquel, along with Humberto Carrão, who will play Afonso Roitman. This is because the big bad is the daughter of the main character of “Vale Tudo”. It would therefore be important to test the chemistry between the actresses right at the beginning of the rehearsals.
So far, Globo does not seem to have settled on a single name to be the big bad of the telenovela that will replace “Renascer”. We are still waiting for updates on the cast of “Vale Tudo”, Globo’s big project to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the broadcaster.
