The day before, the High Court of England and Wales held a regular meeting in the proceedings of 37-year-old Prince Harry with the Home Office. Earlier this year, the duke filed a lawsuit due to the fact that he was deprived of royal protection. According to Harry’s legal team, a key factor in the palace’s decision was the tense relationship between the prince and Sir Edward Young, one of Her Majesty’s top aides.
At that stage, Prince Harry did not know at all that the Royal Family was involved in this … He was told that it was an independent decision, Fatima, the Duke of Shade’s lawyer, said in court.

The lawyer added that Sir Edward and senior members of the royal family should not have interfered in this matter. In addition, she claims that Harry’s offer to pay for the security services himself was not even considered.
Note that Prince Harry is seeking judicial review of the decision of the Home Office, which prohibits him from personally funding security for himself and his family during his stay in the UK. However, in early June, the Sussexes with two children nevertheless visited London and celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of the Queen’s reign, but agreed only after they received guarantees that the police would guard them during the visit.
In addition, in early June it became known that Harry filed a lawsuit against the American tabloid The Mail on Sunday, which claimed that the prince was trying to hide documents related to this trial. Note that this is not the first lawsuit against the media for the Sussex couple. Earlier in 2019, Meghan Markle sued the same publication – and won. Representatives of The Mail on Sunday admitted defeat in a three-year trial and issued a public apology to Meghan Markle in one of the Sunday issues at the end of December 2021, although the final court decision in favor of the Duchess of Sussex was made at the beginning of winter – December 2. Then Megan, who had previously been severely criticized by former US President Donald Trump for an open letter to the US Congress, made an official statement.
