Matt Damon AND Doug Liman formed a dream duo over 20 years ago with “The Bourne Identity“. In 2002, the actor and director was released this action thriller which revolutionized the genre and was the first of a five-part saga. Therefore, it is not surprising that, with these precedents, the two created a new extraordinary production when they collaborated again.
“The provocateurs” premiered on August 9 on Apple TV+ and is a hit on the streaming charts. The film, which also stars Casey Affleck in the main cast, is number one on the platform in 96 countries. The film stars Alfred Molina, Ron Perlman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Toby Jones, Ving Rhames and Paul Walter Hauser.

“Os Provocadores” seems like another case where critics and audiences disagree. While Apple TV+ subscribers are enjoying Damon’s new action-comedy thriller, the specialized press is suspending the project with 41% positive ratings Rotten tomatoes.
“The chemistry of Casey Affleck and Matt Damon’s silly relationship provides some charm, but this laid-back romp is let down by a lack of intrigue and drive,” says the critics’ consensus. Audiences, however, give it a 71 percent rating.
