The affectionate gesture symbolizes the appreciation shown to the communicator by the approximately 2,500 employees of the broadcaster. He has always been seen as a generous boss.
Despite being a billionaire, Silvio Santos did not sport luxury cars. In recent years, he has used a chauffeur-driven Honda Accord. Before that, he has long driven an Omega sedan. He has also been seen driving a Suzuki Vitara.
His most expensive vehicle was a white Lincoln Town Car with a green roof, imported from the United States in the 1990s and which became a museum piece at the entrance to the SBT.
