Singer and influencer Juliette opens up about how her nephew was a victim of prejudice at school
The influencer and singer Juliet went on a rant on Tuesday night, 8/20. In Instagram stories, she said that her nephew Gabriel he experienced an uncomfortable situation at school.
The champion of BBB 21 he said the boy was the butt of xenophobic “jokes” from one of his classmates.”This is the second time Gabriel has told me that, at school, a classmate imitated his accent and called him ‘Paraíba’. The first time I told him to say that ‘Paraíba’ was the state and that he was from Paraíba, but that his name is Gabriel”fired.
And he added: “Unfortunately for those who don’t know, but I imagine many do, some use ‘Paraíba’ as an insult, to say that you are poor, ugly, in bad taste… We are from Paraíba and not ‘Paraíbas’. It hurts.”
Juliette reported that her nephew warned the boy that he used the pejorative term. “The people who should teach this are parents. Here is a piece of advice for those who are fathers and mothers… Guide your children so that they are not xenophobic, homophobic, racist or anything else…”concluded the famous woman.
