The network has a new video for the song Cardi B “Hot Shit”, recorded in collaboration with Kanye West and Lil Derk. The director was none other than the Russian-Georgian director Lado Kvatania, who managed to collaborate with Husky, Oksimiron and Markul. For him, this work was a debut with foreign artists.
In the shot, Cardi raps on a skyscraper spire, Lil Derk performs a verse on the roof of a flooded car, and Kanye rides his motorcycle through the water in a black mask. The video sequence is generously flavored with spectacular computer graphics, creating the feeling of a post-apocalyptic Hollywood epic.
The eminent image maker Low Roach worked on the style – he also creates almost all the images of Zendeya.
Almost immediately, allegations of plagiarism appeared on the network – they were put forward by Aljay. His creative team felt that the director copied some of the scenes from the singer’s video. Lado has already responded to the claims, recalling that “we live in a world of references”:
Yes, we all live in a reference world where a lot has already been done before you. Other references include Placebo, Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Björk, the Wu-Tang Clan, Peter Jackson’s King Kong movie, Hermes and Air Arabia commercials, he told Super.
Note that the song “Hot Shit” was released in early July and became Cardi B’s first release since the fall of 2021. It looks like the new track has every chance of becoming another hit in the rapper’s career.

Lado Kvatania was born on June 22, 1987 in Moscow, lived in Georgia, spoke only Mingrelian before school. He graduated from the acting department of RATI-GITIS in 2009, studied at the screenwriting courses of John Truby and Paul Brown at the New York Film Academy. While studying, he began making short films based on his own scripts. He shot music videos for Oksimiron, the Leningrad group and Husky. Also creates commercials for Reebok, Adidas, PayPal, Google, Visa and Yandex. He released one feature film “The Execution”, which was shown, among other things, at the Sitges Film Festival in November 2021.
In his personal life, as well as in his career, the director is doing well: in November last year, he and the singer Manizha got engaged. When the wedding will take place (by the way, it will take place according to Christian and Muslim customs), it is not known, but Lado told the story of their love in more detail in one interview.
