Liam Payne and his girlfriend expanded their family a month before the singer’s death

Liam Payne and his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, expanded their family just a month before he tragically died in Argentina.

The influencer revealed in mid-September that she and the former One Direction member adopted a dog that was rescued from an animal shelter in Miami, Florida.

Through a TikTok video, Kate Cassidy explained that she was the one who suggested Liam Payne adopt a puppy from a group that would be euthanized due to lack of support.

Nala, as they called the pup, was finally chosen to join them that morning on September 16th.

“So we met and greeted three different dogs to see which one was the best fit. […] “She’s the one we thought was the best fit for us,” the content creator said.

“It’s very sweet. He is only four months old. Her previous owners abandoned her and just left her at the shelter. “We wanted to give him a second chance at a better life,” she said.

Cassidy then made it clear that she and the interpreter would take care of Nala, assess whether she would fit in with them and their home, and then adopt her permanently.

“He still has some training to do. He bites a little bit, but not in an aggressive way, just in a playful way,” he said.

Cassidy showed footage of Nala first meeting Liam, who hugged her and let her lick his face.

“Are they becoming best friends?” she asked as her partner and the puppy played in the back of their car.

Exactly one month later, on October 16, Payne died after falling from the balcony of his hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After the tragedy, Kate posted a message on Instagram in which she shared that she is “absolutely lost.”

“Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and completely. “I will continue to love you for the rest of my life,” he said.

The British composer is the father of Bear, who he fathered with his ex Cheryl Cole. The little boy is currently 7 years old and will most likely be the one to inherit the fortune he left after his death.

This Monday, October 21, Kate Cassidy made her first public appearance since Liam Payne’s death, the circumstances of which are still under investigation.

She went out with two friends and Nala to buy food at stores near the Palm Beach mansion she shared with the singer-songwriter.

She was wearing a gray sweatshirt, sandals and a t-shirt and was apparently wearing no make-up as she usually does on her usual outings.
