Thursday evening (14th), the 25th edition of Latin Grammy moved the world of music in Miami, United States. Celebrating artists from different countries, Brazilians shined during the awards ceremony and ensured extraordinary moments.

The prize was contested by big names, but the winner was the trio Gabriel O Pensador, Lulu Santos AND Shaman with ‘Pipe of Peace 2′outperforming competitors such as Anita AND Gloria Groove.

Xandé de Pilares won the trophy with Xande sings Caetanoin a category that provided for the presence of icons such as Alcyone AND Marcelo D2.

Best rock or alternative music album in Portuguese

The posthumous victory of Erasmo Carlos with Erasmus Esteves brought emotion, making the singer’s legacy clear. It has surpassed artists such as Catia from France and the band lagum.

Best Brazilian Popular Music/Afro-Portuguese Brazilian Music Album

If the My chest was the worldfrom Jota.Pêwas the big winner, in a dispute with projects named like Djavan AND Marisa Monte.

Best Christian Music Album (Portuguese Language)

Thales Roberto celebrated the victory with Let It Come – Vol II (Live), beating famous artists like Bruna Karla AND Rose of Sharon.

Best instrumental album

Hamilton de Holland & C4 Trio won the award with Temblàconfirming the importance of instrumental sound to the event.
