Colin Petersenfirst drummer of Bee Geesdied this Monday (18 years old), aged 78. Known for his contributions to classics such as “To Love Somebody” and “Words”, he was nicknamed “Smiley”, alluding to his childhood as an actor in Australian cinema. Petersen leaves his wife Joanna and two children, Ben AND James.

The Australian met the brothers Gibb in his youth, but only joined the band years later, in England. Barry, robin AND MauriceGibb they invited him to join the group, marking their trajectory with six iconic albums. His contributions helped shape the Bee Gees’ signature sound.
