Mireddys González, the still wife of Daddy Yankee, has taken a radical step amid her decision to file for divorce from the reggaeton player.

On December 2, the Puerto Rican revealed their separation, “after two decades of marriage,” through a message posted on his social networks.

“After many months of trying to save my marriage… today my lawyers are responding to the divorce petition received from Mireddys,” the composer also wrote.

“My faith in Christ was my refuge at all times and was a constant guide as we tried to overcome our differences,” he added.

The interpreter of “Gasolina” assured that he “respects” that the businesswoman decided to start the legal procedures to formalize their separation.

“I appreciate the time we shared, full of blessings and values, love and with a beautiful family, who will continue to be our priority,” she said.

After Daddy Yankee announced what’s going on in his “personal life,” Mireddys González didn’t comment on the matter.

Previously, González used it to show off special moments like celebrating her wedding anniversary with “The Big Boss” or showing off during exercise.

Last October, she and her husband unfollowed each other on the popular app, sparking rumors that they were going through a crisis in their relationship.

The tiktok of ‘The Boss’, as the musician calls her, is still visible, although she has not uploaded a video since April 2023.

Daddy Yankee and Mireddys González haven’t revealed the reasons why their love story is coming to an end, but some alleged details have come to light.
