Nathanael Cano recently received an alleged threat through a “narcomanta” in Hermosillo, Sonora.
The message, signed by the criminal group “Jalisco Mata Salas”, accuses the singer of corridos tumbados and other artists of collaborating with “Los Salazar”.
The banner, which was posted outside the premises of a Cecytes university campus, warned to stop any kind of financial or political support for “Los Salazar”, under the threat of “shooting”.
“This is the last time you will have this attention, you have time to get over it. Devote yourself to what is yours, which is the profession of a musician. Be careful, this is not to do corridos, it is to work with money finances and any legal action. If they do not heed this warning, they will be shot.“.
Sonora authorities will protect Natanael Cano
Sonora authorities have taken protective measures for Natanael Cano and the other artists listed, including Tito Torbellino Jr and Javier Rosas.
The Office of the General Prosecutor of the State (FGJES) has launched an investigation into the incident, as reported by Gustavo Salas, head of the institution.
“The protection measures that are legally appropriate for these people have been issued, and obviously we will wait for their compliance with the support of the various public security institutions, to avoid attacking these people,” he told a press conference.
Is Nathanael Cano making fun of the “drug addict”?
The 23-year-old interpreter would have referred to the message sent to him by posting a photo on his Instagram stories.
” The only blankets that worry me right now. (And were they getting hot?),” he would write on the image he posted on January 6 and deleted minutes later, according to El Sol de Sonora newspaper.
