In an interview with CARAS Magazine, digital influencer Bruna Gomes talks about her peaceful and happy life together with Portuguese driver Bernardo Sousa, in Lisbon
Married to the digital influencer for almost a year Bruna Gomes (28) and the Portuguese pilot Bernardo Sousa (37) are still living on their honeymoon. The native of Santa Catarina, who left home at the age of 18 to pursue her dreams, had no idea that it would be on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean where she would find her full fulfillment. “He praises everything I do, encourages those steps I’m afraid of and never makes me feel alone. All I want today is to continue living this”she melts, in love. “Love can be light, it can be easy and it can also make you grow. I hope our exchange is always like this, I’m rooting for him, but he’s rooting for me too”, declares.
After leaving the program, she took root in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, where she lives with her chosen one. “We are
together by Big Brother. We have not gone through the phase of not living together. I feel like I know the
Bernardo for a long time. Of course we always introduce ourselves to something new every day, but we get along well right from the start.”the YouTuber said.
According to her, life together was peaceful and happy. Living in an industrial-style home, they are still adapting the decor, which straddles the line between modern and antique. “What we have in common is a love for old wood. We are passionate, we have many little things like that,” said Bruna, who has included objects in the decoration that take her back to her origins. “I have several small things that remind me of Brazil, especially small gifts from the fans”, he revealed.
The kitchen is among his favorite corners of the house. “An incredible light enters my kitchen.
We spent a lot of time there with friends, making up recipes and even recording. In fact, I launched a book of Brazilian recipes and the cover is me in my kitchen”he comments, referring to the Bru’s recipes – To kill homesickness. The name of the work already explains why the influencer is the one who controls the cooking at home the most. “The more time I spend away of ‘home’, the more I connect with the kitchen. Doing things that remind me of childhood, of family, makes me very happy”explains the young woman, who has been in Portugal since 2022.
Capricorn, she likes everything organized and in place. “But there are days when I’m like Bernardo, I see a slipper there and I think: ‘Ah, I’ll leave it too (laughs)'”Santa Catarina has fun. When she’s not working, she likes to relax on the couch. “It was one of the first things we bought. And as a good coffee lover, there is nothing better than pairing coffee with a comfortable sofa,” he says.
After her success in the reality show, Bruna returned to television last year as a commentator on the program Secret History – The House of Secretsfrom TVI. With the end of the show’s season, she came to Brazil to enjoy a vacation with her loved one and her family. The years away from home have transformed her, but the essence remains the same. “Definitely a new woman. Who continues down to earth, with the same values. Except now I’m more lucid than I need to be. I think time is also very important to understand what works well and what doesn’t. And this clarity always comes”, the currency, confident in herself and in her steps, both in life and in her career.
