Eliezer reflected on the importance of learning to say no to your children
The former BBB Eliezer He opened up about the new phase of fatherhood with his wife, Viih Tube, on his Instagram. The couple, who have become parents of little Lua Di Felice, face the first challenges related to their daughter’s growth and education. In a heartfelt report, Eliezer shared the difficulties of dealing with the girl’s tantrums and how to balance love and discipline.
In his stories, the entrepreneur addresses the complexity of saying “no” to his daughter and the conflicting feelings that this awakens: “Do you or have you had difficulty saying “NO” to your children? The Moon has started the tantrum phase, and I feel just as guilty when I can’t say ‘no’ as when I do. It’s such a simple thing, but I know it’s necessary to teach her to give in, get frustrated, wait and negotiate.”
Inspired by an episode involving entrepreneur Kaká Diniz, Eliezer reflected on the need to set boundaries, but also questioned his ability to be firm in the future. In a video published later, Eliezer developed the theme, emphasizing that saying “no” is fundamental to children’s emotional development.
“There’s a phrase that says, ‘the more we give to our children, the more we take from them.’ Children who don’t learn to deal with frustrations can grow up without limits and even develop emotional problems. We need to teach them to wait, negotiate and accept that they won’t always get everything they want.” He also revealed that, sometimes, he ends up giving in to tantrums to avoid confrontation, but that this then creates feelings of guilt.
