But the visit of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to the UK was so short that Elizabeth II did not have time to enjoy communicating with the kids. And now he wants to fix it.
According to royal insiders, Her Majesty invited Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children to Balmoral to spend the summer together. The queen herself arrived at the Craigowan Lodg estate last Thursday and is going to spend the next ten weeks there. So Meghan and Harry have time to think.
Staff have been told to expect a full list of members of the royal family, including Harry, Meghan and their children Archie and Lilibet. They are preparing for the Sussexes, – quotes the words of a source close to the court, The Sun edition.
But to play with cousins, Princes George and Louis, and sister Princess Charlotte, Lilibet and Archie are unlikely to succeed, even if their parents accept the invitation. It is reported that during the holidays in Balmoral, if there are, of course, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be able to intersect with other members of the royal family, including Prince William and Prince Charles.
It is worth noting that the queen’s move to get closer to Meghan and Harry was not made in the easiest of times. So the day before another information bomb exploded in the life of the royal family: the scandalous book of biographer Tom Bauer “Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors” was published. The potential bestseller is about a war at the heart of the monarchy sparked by Prince Harry’s romance with Meghan Markle, whom Bauer portrays as self-absorbed, manipulative and demanding while her spouse is spoiled, poorly educated and ingenuous. According to the author, Meghan Markle split the royal family and knew perfectly well what she was doing.
Another scandalous fact from the new book: according to Bauer, Queen Elizabeth was extremely relieved that Meghan Markle could not attend the funeral Prince Philip. Moreover, this year Her Majesty personally ousted the Sussexes from balcony of Buckingham Palace during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
