Singer Kelis accused Beyonce of plagiarism less than a day after the release of her new album

According to The Independent, singer Kelis – real name Kelis Rogers – claims that Beyoncé “stole” her 2000 song “Get Along With You”. According to Kelis, the superstar used a sample from the track in one of the songs from the new studio album “Renaissance” – “Energy” without permission.

I am appalled because the level of disrespect and complete ignorance of all parties involved is astounding,” Kelis wrote on social media.

Note that Kelis does not have the rights to the song “Get Along With You” – the copyrights belong to composer Chad Hugo and rapper Pharrell Williams, who wrote the composition. Notably, Farrell has also worked on Beyoncé’s new song “Energy”, so Kelis’ claim may well be true.

Everything is not always what it seems, some people in this business have neither soul nor honor, – said the singer.

Recall that Beyoncé released a new album today – for the first time in the last 6 years. “Renaissance” is the singer’s seventh studio album, which includes 16 brand new songs. By the way, on the eve of the release last Thursday, Beyoncé shared a rare joint picture with three children from Jay-Z.
