The whole past weekend in the Hermitage Garden there was nowhere for an apple to fall: in total, more than 10,000 people came to enjoy good music, intellectual games and lectures as part of the Chess & Jazz festival.
The first day ended with a performance by Kito Jempere Orchestra, a special Chess & Jazz project about the music that lives inside each of us, inspires and gives strength. Under the direction of producer and composer Kirill Sergeev, a live orchestra of guest artists gathered on the main stage: Katya IOWA, Yura Makarychev, Gayana, Mika Vino, Mirele, Gasaida Cedric, Varya Shmykova, Gadzhi, Fotiiniya Fo, Pasha Artemyev, Noteless, Saya Siang, Panterrra Katya, Royz Alina. On the second day, Feduk performed on stage with a jazz program and other artists, and Leonid Agutin closed the musical extravaganza on Sunday evening with his best compositions – from “Lilac Moon” to “Airports”, which were sung by the entire park.
The guests of the festival were not only Muscovites and guests of the capital, but also the brightest representatives of secular Moscow: Svetlana Bondarchuk and Sergey Kharchenko, Vladislav Lisovets, Sati Kazanova, Varvara Shmykova, Alexander Gorchilin, Stas Kruglitsky, Ekaterina Odintsova and Dina Nemtsova, Anzhelika Timanina, Evgenia Linovich and others The event was also attended by the Russian grandmaster, 2021 vice-champion Ian Nepomniachtchi.
