Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning teamed up to present the 56th Annual CMA Awards.
The Country Music Association and ABC announced Monday that Bryant will host for the second year in a row, with NFL legend Manning hosting for the first time. Brian has been very successful as a country music singer and is a two-time winner of the coveted CMA Artist of the Year Awards.
This year’s ceremony will take place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 9. The appointments have not yet been announced.
“When asked if Peyton Manning was someone I would consider co-hosting with, I didn’t hesitate,” Bryant said in a statement. “We’ve become great friends over the years and what he brings to the table will make it even more fun. I know he’s been to the CMA Awards before, but he’s never been with me. Hey Peyton, I hope you’re ready for the night of your life!”
For his part, Manning said he’s excited to be on stage with Bryant. “I’m a huge country music fan, so to be able to be among so many incredibly talented artists is an absolute honor,” the Hall of Fame quarterback said in a statement.
CMA CEO Sarah Trahern praised the co-hosts, predicting the ceremony “will be curiously unpredictable and playfully energetic, just like the two.”
The 56th Annual CMA Awards will air live on Wednesday, November 9 on ABC.
