British boxer Georgia O’Connor died at the age of 25.
The news was released by Ben Shalom, founder and president of Boxxer, supporter of the athlete.
“It is difficult to make sense to this, many things are happening, but nothing is more important than your family and your health,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on May 22.
“My heart is with the parents of Georgia and her partner, who I know they did what they could without rest and have a very bad time now. Georgia was pure inspiration and someone I will never forget,” he added.

At the end of January, Georgia O’Connor revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer after a year before finding that she had ulcerative colitis.

“And now? Now the cancer has spread and, as if it were not enough, during all years there were blood stains for all my lungs, which could have killed me immediately,” he said.
Given the alleged negligence, Georgia made it clear that she no longer believed in experts: “They can say that whatever they want is a terminal, they can say that I will die.”
“But, after the end of 17, seventeen weeks to know what happened to me, why did he believe it? I am young, I am in shape and I am stronger than they will never understand,” he said.
In addition to expressing her hope, she pointed out that she already had the attention of an “incredible” oncologist to enhance “the best possible treatment and treatment”.
