In the middle of the financial and political crisis that affects the Corinthians, the Stabile Interim Osmar president has again positioned himself publicly on Monday (28), to detail the club’s difficulties and categorically remove any possibility of adopting the model of the Football company (SAF). The statement was made in a press conference at Parque São Jorge.
Stabile, who took the presidency after the removal of Augustus Melo, stressed that the club is going through a delicate moment of cash flow. As explained, the Corinthians did not have available revenue in May, June and July, since the amounts scheduled for this period had already been scheduled at the beginning of this year, without being invested in the football department.
“In no case. We have to organize what we have in advance. The Corinthians have credits and we must organize it.”
During the interview, the leader also stressed that the League’s resources were partially received in advance, which compromised the financial balance in the middle of the year. He underlined that it is necessary to renovate the way in which the club manages its resources so as not to continue reacting to crises, but anticipating the solutions.
“Our heart is football. Why didn’t you pay the prizes? 40% of what we had to receive from the League we have already received, but the flow of monetary movement is like this: arrive at the beginning and end of the year. And in the middle, don’t you live?”
The provisional president also criticized the way in which the inner policy interfered with the management and has requested the union of all those who can contribute to the recovery of the club, regardless of the political position or the previous links with the departure board.
“I don’t want management for management, I want support for Corinthians. For those people who make politics right now, it’s no longer. It’s time to transform, change and we have everyone’s support.”
In fact, Stabile said that his participation in the previous management was limited by the resistance by the leaders who did not accept the collaboration. He ranked the current scenario as a unique opportunity to promote profound changes.
“What we agreed to do at the beginning of the direction is that it was opened. It didn’t happen. I didn’t participate in anything. I would like to have helped, but people didn’t want help.”
As for football, stable said that Corinthians are still aware of the transfers market, but without financially risking. The leader delegated to the football manager, Fabinho Soldado, the responsibility to identify financially practicable reinforcements.
“We cannot go mad at this moment. We have to work on our possibility, players with low cost and high quality. It’s difficult? Yes, but it is impossible it is not.”
In short, the provisional management reaffirms the commitment to the administrative reorganization and refuses any immediate solution, such as the transformation into SAF, betting on internal mobilization as a way to get out of the crisis.
