Alec Baldwin did not accidentally shoot the cameraman: new details of the tragedy on the set of “Rust” are revealed

The investigation into the tragedies on the set of Rust, when Alec Baldwin mortally wounded cameraman Galina Hutchins, has been going on for more than six months. And today new details of this case have become known. ABC News has released the results of an FBI forensic examination that casts doubt on Alec Baldwin’s stories about what happened. Recall that in his first interview after the tragedy, the actor claimed that he was sure that the prop revolver was loaded with blank cartridges, and even more so – during the rehearsal with Hutchins, he did not pull the trigger.

I would never have done this if the gun had been pointed in someone’s direction. Moreover, someone loaded a live bullet into the gun – a bullet that should not even have been on the territory, Baldwin said.

Only the FBI report says otherwise. Experts who studied every aspect of the tragedy as part of a broader investigation determined that such a Colt could not have been fired without pulling the trigger. In other words, Alec Baldwin didn’t accidentally shoot Hutchins.

Those results have now been sent to law enforcement officials in New Mexico, who are still conducting their investigation to reach a final verdict. According to an official statement from the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office, another important detail is still missing in the case – Baldwin’s phone records, which the actor himself promised to provide to law enforcement agencies, but has not yet done so.
