Dennis DJ breaks silence on police operation at his ex-wife’s home

After a police intervention at the home of Bárbara Falcão, the mother of his son, the artist releases a note through his lawyers in which he states that the accusations against him are false and motivated by a legal dispute

The music producer Dennis DJ spoke publicly for the first time after information emerged that police had recently been at his ex-wife’s home, Barbara Falcaoknown as Babi, with whom he has a son. The movement of the police to the scene would have attracted the attention of the neighborhood, causing the case to have repercussions on social media and in the press.

According to information released by sources close to the case, the police action was motivated by developments in a legal dispute involving the ex-couple’s son. There is speculation that the situation is directly linked to a family conflict between Dennis and Bárbara, which led to the issuance of a search and seizure warrant.

In response to the news and speculations, the artist’s legal advisor forwarded them to the journalist’s column Fabia Oliveirafrom the portal Metropolisan official statement signed by lawyers Alexandra Ullmann and Ivan Santiago. In the note, the DJ’s legal representatives argue that his ex-partner was using “knowingly false accusations” as a strategy in the midst of a custody dispute already resolved in court.

“In light of the court decisions awarding custody of their son to Dennis and the failure to revoke those decisions, his ex-wife knowingly used false accusations against him,” we read in the document released by the artist’s lawyers.

Also according to the note, the Court decided, in April 2025, to grant custody of the minor son to DJ. The sentence would have been issued by the 1st Family Court of Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro, on the basis of the favorable opinion of the State Prosecutor’s Office, which would have considered that Dennis had the best conditions at that moment to guarantee the well-being of the child.

The lawyers also reveal that, after filing a police report, elements such as statements and reports were collected which led the Court to grant an urgent precautionary measure in favor of the minor. The decision was taken by a court specializing in crimes against children and adolescents.

Furthermore, Dennis’ legal representatives point out that the custody sentence was maintained after review at the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, even after attempts by Bárbara Falcão to overturn it.

Finally, the note highlights that many of the accusations made by the artist’s ex-wife had already been brought to the attention of the competent authorities, but were deemed unfounded and duly archived.

“The accusations were presented to the Judiciary and dismissed by the Prosecutor’s Office because they were absolutely unfounded”, concludes Dennis DJ’s defense.

The situation continues to generate repercussions and the case highlights the complexity of family conflicts, especially when they involve child custody and contested judicial decisions. To date, Bárbara Falcão has not officially commented on the matter.
