Hollywood says goodbye to Anne Heche after her death

A week after the car accident that left her in a critical condition for a week, and after falling into a coma and brain death, actress Anne Heche finally passed away yesterday. The actress crashed into a house at 1700 Walgrove Avenue with her Mini Cooper. A collision that caused no more human damage than the actress herself, who was immediately transferred to the West Hills hospital in Los Angeles, where she has fought for her life for a week.

We met Anne Heche mostly in the late 1990s, though her career waned at the same time she came out as her relationship with Ellen DeGeneres became public. She even went so far as to claim that Fox kicked her out for being a lesbian (actually bisexual). Hoping that Hollywood in which non-heteronormative sexual orientation put an end to careers and stars, we like to remember that the actress appeared in films like ‘Donnie Brasco’, ‘I know what you did last summer’ or ‘Six days and seven nights’. She also in series like ‘Ally McBeal’, ‘Everwood’ or ‘Men in Trees’.

James Gunn, director of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ or ‘The Suicide Squad’, recalled a showcase of the actress’s talent, stating that her work in Broadway’s PROOF was the best performance he had ever seen.

Rosanna Arquette has also sent a statement, although before the official confirmation of her death:

I am very upset and sad that Anne Heche is not expected to live. And yes, she would have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and endangering lives. She is still a great artist and she battled addiction. She is terribly sad for her children and for her friends.

The actress, as we see, affects the weekly debate that wanted to downplay the actress’s tragedy, pointing to the causes of her accident and her possible “fault”. However, without having more victims than her, let’s hope like Arquette that attention will now focus on respect for her figure.
