A few hours ago, the new King of Great Britain, Charles III, returned by plane to London from Scotland, where Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral Castle on Thursday afternoon. After a short conversation with his subjects, he and Queen Consort Camilla inspected a spontaneous memorial of flowers, letters and portraits of Elizabeth II (local journalists say that the city’s flower shops ran out of flowers), and then retired to the palace.
