Today, all day long, journalists have been following the movements of the main members of the British royal family. Prince Harry, who arrived at Balmoral Castle later than everyone else, flew to his wife Megan before anyone else – already at 8:15 am local time, his car drove towards the airport. Two hours later, the newly-made king and queen consort left the castle, and a little later Prince William left for London.
All this time, Kate Middleton was in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, where she moved with her husband and children at the end of the summer. This week, George, Charlotte and Louis went to a new school, so it was probably decided to split up – William went to support the family, and Kate stayed with the children.
This afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge and Cornwall (we wrote about the new title here) got into the lenses of the paparazzi for the first time since the official announcement of the Queen’s death. She was filmed on her way to school, where she was going to pick up her children. Kate was driving her car with no one else in it. It was obvious that she was in mourning: the duchess was wearing large dark glasses, a black turtleneck (or a dress with a high collar), and her face did not express any emotions.
